Looked After Children The RAISE programme has two distinct elements: one has funded schools in more challenging areas to explore sustainable ways of improving the achievements of disadvantaged pupils, the other has provided local authorities with additional funding to improve the prospects of looked-after children.

Projects: 2009-2010 In 2009-2010, the programme enters a new stage with an emphasis on consolidation. During this year, schools will collaborate on initiatives, the outcomes of which will help schools across Wales to tackle the negative impact of poverty on young people’s education.
