Projects: 2009-2010
In 2009-2010, the programme entered a new stage with an emphasis on consolidation. During the year, schools collaborated on initiatives, the outcomes of which will help schools across Wales to tackle the negative impact of poverty on young people’s education.

The RAISE programme has two distinct elements: one has funded schools in more challenging areas to explore sustainable ways of improving the achievements of disadvantaged pupils, the other has provided local authorities with additional funding to improve the prospects of looked-after children.
