Strategy 2009-2010 In consultation with local consortia of LEAs, the Welsh Local Government Association and the Association of Directors of Education Wales, the Assembly Government has produced a strategy for the use of RAISE funding in 2009-2010.  The aim, in doing this, has been to build on and consolidate the gains of the previous three years of substantial RAISE grants.  The themes identified in earlier reports from the People and Work Unit and Estyn provide the focus for that strategy.

During the spring, each of the four regional consortia of local authorities developed its own strategy to relate the national strategy to local needs and priorities.  The consortia have agreed the collaborative activities that will constitute the 2009-2010 RAISE Programme and are currently working with their local authorities and schools to finalise action plans and funding details.

Each of the four regional consortia of local authorities has developed its own strategy to relate the national strategy to local needs and priorities. The consortia agreed on collaborative activities that constituted the 2009-2010 RAISE Programme and those projects have subsequently produced the wealth of reports, case studies and resources that are published here on the RAISE website.
