Darren Thomas, the year 6 teacher and the Deputy Head at Pantyscallog Primary School is leading this group. In this film clip a group of children from the year 6 class are given a sheet which displays different pairs. Knife and fork, Toothpaste and brush, pencil and sharpener etc…
The children are asked to identify the theme of the sheet. They should identify pairs. Why do these things make good pairs? They compliment each other. They work well together. If used properly they can produce a collective outcome or goal. They have similarities.
The children are then asked to think about themselves as part of a pair, who is your best friend? You two make a pair! Why do you make a good pair? What makes them a good friend? What makes you a good friend?
